2022.04.2８　放射性廃棄物搬出

横須賀基地ではたらくみなさん、ロナルド・レーガンの乗り込み員のみなさんこんにちは。

私たちは、横須賀平和船団です。

横須賀市は、ロナルド・レーガンの修理による放射性廃棄物のボックスが、4月20日に米海軍がチャーターした○○に搬出され、米国に輸送されると発表しました。

私たちは毎年、このボートと丘の上から搬出作業の監視を行っています。周知のとおり横須賀は米海軍唯一の海外母港です。原子力艦船が配備されていることは、地元住民にとって大変危険なことです。日本の原子力規制委員会が、米国の原子力艦船に対して、なんの権限もないことは、まったく不均衡なことだと思います。また、この搬出作業は、米国と日本の合意に違反しています。

　エードメモワールと呼ばれる日米合意の文書では、日本の港で原子炉の修理はしない、放射性廃棄物の搬出はしてはいけない、と約束されています。

　しかし、2008年のジョージ・ワシントンの配備から、この約束は破られてしまいました。

　米海軍によるこの約束違反に対して、私たちは深く憂慮します。

私たちは、繰り返して訴えたいです。日本の港で、艦船の原子炉の修理をしないでください！私たちは原子力空母の配備を認めません。原子力空母の横須賀配備をやめてください!

Hello everyone working at Yokosuka Naval Base and Ronald Reagan's crew!

We are Yokosuka peace flotilla.

Yokosuka City announced that the boxes of radioactive waste produced by the repair work will be transferred on from the Ronald Reagan to the Ocean Jazz, a cargo ship chartered by the U.S. Navy, for shipment to the United States.

We conduct surveillance during the transfer operations, both on this boats　and from a nearby hillside.

As you know, Yokosuka is the only overseas home port of the US Navy's nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.

Deployment nuclear-powered warships at Yokosuka endangers the safety of local residents. We think it is totally unequal that the Japanese NRA has no authority over US navy’s nuclear vessels. And,this transfer work violates the agreement between Japan and the United States.

This agreement,　so　called Ade Memoir, promises that nuclear reactors should not be repaired and radioactive waste should not be carried out at Japanese ports.

　However, this promise has been broken since the deployment of the first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, George Washington.

　We are deeply concerned about the violation of this agreement by the U.S. Navy.

　Please Don't repair the nuclear reactor in a Japanese port! We do not allow the deployment of nuclear aircraft carriers.  Please stop the deployment of nuclear aircraft carrier!
